The Centre unites six research groups led by six top scientists.
These research groups co-operate in four joint activities:
Macroecology of biological diversity (leader Meelis Pärtel)
Phylogenetic comparative ecology (leader Toomas Tammaru)
Coevolution, ecological interactions and biodiversity (leader Raivo Mänd)
Conservation biology (leader Asko Lõhmus)
The directorate is responsible for everyday management.
The board of the Centre including leading researchers from the five research carries out the planning and monitoring of the co-ordinated activities.
The expert advisors contribute with advice and guidance on potential strategic directions.
